History: I'd made the same raise UTG the last 2 orbits. First time, everyone folds. Second time only BB calls, flop comes rags and I cBet JTs to take it down. BB is playing 14/9 over about 100 hands.

This time I flop the set and get the feeling he's sick of me pushing him around.

Is this shove too thin, considering the way the board played out?

No, but why min raise the flop if you think he's ready to make a stand?

You mean why call the minraise? I don't see him minraising. Course I could be blind.

nah

Looks like a pretty good Riv bet to me most likely I would put him on an Overpair

ofcourse you could have gotten real lucky and he could have a set of 2s or 4s.

He seems to really like his hand on the turn.

Quite right it would appear villian min -raised on the flop Hero smooth called to

trap. Don't rush to the Optometrist. Your sight is solid.

Yep. He minraised, I called in position to see what he'd do on the turn.

On the river, my choice is shove or check behind imo.

The main question is with the board putting a 4-card straight on the board, me having an aggressive image, how often is he checking the river to induce a bluff, because he's rivered the straight and expects I'll shove.

He check-raised flop, led turn and called my raise. Why check the river? How often is he calling a shove on that board without having me beat?

Looks like a pretty good Riv bet to me most likely I would put him on an Overpair
That was a big part of his range imo, but not the entire range.

What 3s does he have in his range that min raise the flop?

Shove, but take time to fist pump first.

I don't see what's remotely scary about this board given his stats and how the hand was played out.

Yeah it's good. Buy-in full though or don't play in a game you aren't rolled for.

there is absolutely no way that this shove is too thin. he has like no 3x's in his range.

wat?? why wuld u say that

Because he hasn't read this thread.

Or this one.

Or because everyone is stuck in their ways and refuse to think outside the box. :p

Thanks for all the replies. I didn't really think it was too thin tbh, but I was curious to see what kind of replies I'd get and whether or not anyone is every checking behind here.

So he had 78 right?

You played it fine, but you've just said you knew that above me :)
