IF it was the small blind alone then its a call i think. UTG throws a bit of a spanner in the works here, youve got to ask the question why no isolation re-raise ? Smells of a set mine to me, limp/call UTG then call a big flop bet.

I think this is a fairly standard fold, unless you have any decent reads that would suggest otherwise.

ye i agree, definate fold, a limp from utg then a flat call to a raise usually means pp or suited connectors. He isnt getting odds on flop to call that bet with a draw so he must have a pp pair. Surely with an over pair who would have isolated hte short stack so it must therfore be a set, a must fold

Thats what I thought. I folded. The only way I could see a flat call was a semi monster ( something beating QQ).

Anyway.

SB had 2,2 ( one to keep in the notes)
UTG had 10,10

I was sure I was beat.

Is there any justification for calling here do you think? (You only need to win 1 in 3)

only need to win 1 in 3? fair enough, but most of the time you will be against a set, so you will need to hit a 2 outer, and the odds of that are less than 3:1. So i dont think it is profitable. It was just really odd play by the pock tens

Yeah I think this is one of those times where both of them show up with pretty much the worst hands in their range. I agree with folding as there's still lots of action to take place considering utg's still in the hand, and it's action that our QQ can't take. G fold imo.
