Villain in this hand is 7/7/inf over only 28 hands. I have been playing 17/15/4 with a 10% 3bet at this table so far. Given my image do I have to stick this in?

poker stars, $1/$2 PL Hold'em Cash Game, 9 Players

MP3: $200 (100 bb)
CO: $213.35 (106.7 bb)
BTN: $190 (95 bb)
SB: $256.35 (128.2 bb)
Hero (BB): $200 (100 bb)
UTG: $198 (99 bb)
UTG+1: $227.05 (113.5 bb)
MP1: $89 (44.5 bb)

4 folds, MP3 raises to $6, CO folds, BTN calls $6, SB folds, Hero raises to $25, MP3 raises to $58, BTN folds, Hero ?

i fold. i think he shows up with AQ close to never, maybe AK sometimes but QQ+ a whole lot, especially based on the raise size (not every pedestrian does the stox poker-esque small light 4bet for balance, especially at FR where 4bet bluffing is rarely necessary)

he is probably not as cognitive of your image as you think he is, and even if he is, that doesn't mean he'll have the gonads to 4bet you light

I hate stacking off w/AK in FR games period. I'm even more inclined to fold this against a 7/7 nit, even if it is over a very small hand sample. I insta dump imo.

If its was a 25/14 then you could ship it in. Yea I'm starting to fold in these spots against nitty players, and against unknowns until they show that they are fishy.

Smells like a race to me with you getting the short end. Very possibly even worse with you against AA or KK. I fold. I might need to go on a walk after. But I fold.

STacking off with AK in 6 max is fine but i absolutely hate it in FR. Your image probably doesn't mean squat here as a 7/7 (sure not accurate...but he is obviously a nit regardless) doesn't care about images as villain is playing their cards and their cards only. It is a HUGE mistake in thinking, imo, to try to convince yourself that a complete nit is not only aware of your image (which they probably are) but have the guts to overcome their nitty tendencies to make a play at you (which they probably never are). Pretty easy fold imo...you can't really flat because you'll miss the flop so often and even when you hit you have no idea where you stand and i just don't think that a nit is ever 4 betting tt/jj here for basically a min raise. Nits will flat with those hands (and probably AK and qq as well).

I had this exact same scenario in 50nl FR and was going to post it, but got my answer here... i folded to the nit who 4bet-shoved on me when I had AKo

ugh fold. This is one of the many reasons I quit FR. This would be a 'lick your chops and throw your chips in a la Hellmuth' shove in 6max.

I did end up folding this preflop but it did not feel good. I had played about 3k hands of 100NL 6max b4 i transitioned to 200NL FR, almost shoved it but decided he shows up with AA/KK here like always.
