$200 NL HE Heads-up: Did I make the wrong move?

Hi all I'm new to the forum and have a question for you. I'm not going to complain about a bad beat. I just want to know if you guys would lay this down or not. I think I know the answer but it's eating at me a bit.

I buy in to a heads up game for $200 (actually it's 6 person table but nobody else has joined yet). We play back and forth a bit and I manage to get about $40 off a player who bought in for $400. Here's the hand...

Me 5-7 off suite Him A-5 spades

the flop 4s 6s 8c

I bet 20

Oppenent raises to to 45

I reraise

Were both all in

He hits a flush on the turn, I go broke. Did I play this wrong? What would you have done? Sorry to ask a dumb question but it's bothering me.

Thanks

PS sorry it was a 1-2 game

No you did not play this hand wrong... You just happened to get unlucky when his 2:1 flush draw hit..... I would be more than happy to have that exact same hand run again... You should know that in the long run you're making money...

Thats very good for you in the long run. Whenever you get your money in good like this you can expect to make a profit. Just don't play out of your means.
By the way just out of interest, what happened preflop??? Did you call a raise or open limp? what positions were you in??

Probably better to post hand history's (if you can find them) to give us a better understanding of the hand in future.

Pre-Flop was uneventful. It consisted with a standard pot size raise. He was doing it quite often and I caught him bluffing a few times pre-flop. So, to answer your question he raised me preflop to around $8. Because we were heads up and it was his “pattern” it didn’t hold any weight in my eyes.

Could you please tell me how to get hand history from full tilt?

In the main screen, Options/Hand History, save to disk, choose a location on your computer.

What can you play wrong with this hand. You have the nuts and you did put your money in, bad beats happen. Move on to next hand

You got allin with the nuts. More to the point though, if you are asking this question here then your are likely playing way too high a limit. nl$200 is a very tough limit to beat, and unless your roll is over $5K you should'nt be playing there.

Ha ha, all right I'll modify it. Getting all in with the nuts, without super deep stacks and the possibility of getting free-rolled = Never wrong
