I buy in to a heads up game for $200 (actually it's 6 person table but nobody else has joined yet). We play back and forth a bit and I manage to get about $40 off a player who bought in for $400. Here's the hand...
Me 5-7 off suite Him A-5 spades
the flop 4s 6s 8c
I bet 20
Oppenent raises to to 45
Were both all in
He hits a flush on the turn, I go broke. Did I play this wrong? What would you have done? Sorry to ask a dumb question but it's bothering me.
PS sorry it was a 1-2 game
Thats very good for you in the long run. Whenever you get your money in good like this you can expect to make a profit. Just don't play out of your means.
By the way just out of interest, what happened preflop??? Did you call a raise or open limp? what positions were you in??
Probably better to post hand history's (if you can find them) to give us a better understanding of the hand in future.
