Comments on this hand appreciated.

Villain looks like Michael Mizrachi and plays like an aggrotard. He raises weird hands, tends to always bet when checked to. Basically just clicking buttons. He's stuck 2+ $500 buyins already. I haven't been that involved. I have a LAG image and I happened to hero call him on one hand with K-high on the river (and was good). I start the hand with roughly $330 and he has slightly less ($310ish).

I raise to $12 with :ac4: :kc4: UTG and he calls in HJ. BTN calls.

Flop (pot $39): :ad4: :jd4: :4c4:
Hero bets $26, Villain raises to $80, BTN folds. Hero calls.

Turn: ($199): :2h4:
Hero checks, Villain bets $100, Hero shoves ~$240.

do you think he will check back the river sometimes when if you flat his turn bet? if he is a aggro as you say we might get more value flatting letting him fire river with air

Are his raises polarized or is he one of those maniacs who raise QQ/AQ type hands here? What have you caught him raising with so far? Does he raise draws/gutshots here? How wide his his preflop calling range here?

I think he mostly bets for the sake of betting
some other hands he was involved in:

4-way pot, calls from SB, leads on Q85r, BB raises, PFR calls. Turn A, he leads again, BB calls, BTN folds. River brick and he bet/tank-calls, BB has AQ. He didn't show and claims he had KQ.

Another hand, he bets flop on 983, bets and calls check-raise on turn A. River blank checks to him and he bets and says, "I have a 9." Other player showed QQ.

Can't find a fold vs this guy, sure AJ is a risk but he may do this with AQ, gutshots, flush draws or air. Given his merged betting range I like min 3betting the flop. Your line is just as good, better when the flush doesn't come in on the turn as he his value hands will have a harder time folding, we make more from his gutshots and may even get a a flush draw to call.

With your history on the villain and that he has already committed 2/3 of his stack, I'd think that the villain would stack off here a huge majority of the time. I'd think that villain would stack off on any Jx hand, FD and broadway draws. I wouldn't consider any wheel draws very much. I'd rather make villain make a decision here than on the river where things may get easier for him and/or harder for us plus any river bet will be a shove anyway.

For sure, KQdd and similar hands play better on the river than our hand.

Against a tighter player I think I might fold the flop.

Wanted to talk more about the King-high call vs. this villain because it's pertinent to our history. Also because it's a cool brag.

I'm in SB with K9o and he limps in EP, 2 others limp, I complete and BB checks.

Flop: JT4r, I check, BB checks, villain bets $10 (into $10 pot) I call and everyone else folds/folded.

Turn: 6 I check, he checks. Weird cuz he rarely checks in position.

River: J, no flush possible. I check and he bets $20. I kinda smile to myself and snap call.

He says, "Do you have a jack?"

I just laugh. "I called you, buddy."

I normally don't do this because if I think I have the likely winner and the aggressor isn't showing and isn't a known slowroller, I'll usually just flip. But I had no intention of showing this hand if I wasn't good.

He has his cards together and lifts them up to reveal the Qd. "I got a Queen. Queen high."

I laughed and showed my hand. Laughter ensues. I said, "Queen-Nine, right?" He says, "yeah."

He says, "I don't like this game."

Damn straight!

I made an awesome K high call the other day as a result of hearing this story. I was excited, I couldn't wait to come and share. He had a full house unfortunately. True story.
