$200 NLHE Full Ring: QT0 on the BTN vs Villain
Hi guys I played an interesting hand at a 1/2 NL live table and would like some feedback on the way I approached the hand.
UTG limps, MP1 and MP2 limp, Hero
opens for $15 on the BTN holding QTo. The SB and BB fold UTG calls MP1 and MP2 both fold.
Hero: $200 starting stack
Villain: $140 starting stack
The flop comes: Q J 3 rainbow $37 in pot
bets $20. Villain
The turn brings a K $77 in pot
bets $50 Villain
shoves for $105.
This table was very tight and limp heavy so QTo was good enough for a raise on the BTN given the table dynamic. I have won a couple of pots pre-flop prior to this one by opening in position for $15 after 3-4 limpers so I am viewed as a tight player. Villain is the only loose player relative to this table and has called a $100 shove against a tight player holding KQo and another time he called a big raise with KQ again OOP so he def overvalues big paint cards. Now my concern here is given that my odds
of hitting the nut straight are about 5 to 1 and the pot is only laying me 4.2 to 1 after villain shoves could you possibly make the call here being so close to the break even point or would you just fold since you are technically not getting the right price to call?
