LOL, when I said he was a rock, I meant when he is betting/raising post flop, when he was forced to show, he had the goods. He seems like the type of player that is kinda loose preflop and them tightens up postflop.
So I am pondering a call and this guy is staring right at me, I count out the chips and he is staring at my hands. I say, "I call" and villian instantly says, "I got a five man," and he looks like he is upset that he is beating me. River is a blank and villian flips over A5 o/s and scoops a $350+ pot. Sucky night because I was playing well, chipping away and winning the small pots, but I lost 2 huge pots with QQ.
So I guess this was "standard", I don't know, I think I could have lost less with this hand. Would a check behind the villian be a poor play on the flop? Because then if he fires on the turn and I raise him and then he goes allin, I think I can fold my QQ. What do you think?
