Hi guys. It's been a long while since I've played poker. I got back into it this year and played $1/$2 live at Hollywood Park Casino. I dunno if I played this hand well but I think I played it well and just got unlucky.

Here it the hand analysis.
Hero = UTG ($110)
UTG+1 ( about $200 who had me covered)
UTG + 2 (around $150 who had me covered as well
MP1 (about $80, less than I had)
MP2 ($100 who just bought in)
Cutoff ($200-250)
Button ($150)
Small blind ($120)
Big Blind ($350-$400)

Before asking me why I bought in short, unlike online, in live games, lot of buy-ins are maxed at $100 for $1/$2. Normally, when I play online cash games, I would buy in for max and have auto-top off.

I was dealt pocket Queens and limped for $2. Utg+1 limped for $2 as well. Utg+2 raised it for $8. Mp1, mp2, cutoff, small blind, big blind all called for $8. Pot was $52. So I figured that at this point, it's a good time to squeeze because UTG+2 was loose-aggressive player. And at the same time, high pocket pairs don't do well in a multi-way pot. And since the pot was big enough that no matter what I raise it to, it's still gonna get called. So I shoved all-in for $110. Everyone folded except for big blind. Big Blind had A8o and decided to call off my all-in since he was the last to act. Unfortunately, board makes a straight for him and I lost. I decided to leave bcz I was getting tilted while players at the table were happy that I lost, rubbing it in that I "deserved" to lose for squeezing them out of $8. Was it a bad play to piss them off and squeeze them out of $8? I just told them "haha, ok" UTG+2 tells me "nice play, you almost had it".

I tend to stack off pre-flop with high pocket pairs if I know I am able to get inferior hands to call me off and I am at least 2:1 favorite, and majority of the time 3:1 or 4:1 favorite. My philosophy tends to be this. "If I can get people to call off their stack with inferior hand where I am at least 7:3 favorite, such as QQ vs A8, KK vs A5, and majority of the time, i have them dominated such as QQvs 22, KK vs 22, AA vs 67, it's always a good risk." I do this only because I hate playing post-flop with high pocket pairs where I either see an Ace on the flop or run into a set. Last year, I ran great. This year, I'm running extremely horribly in live casino. This year, I was roughly up upto $600 and then after yesterday's and several other past beats, I tend to just conclude "i dont' know how to play this game anymore. so while I'm still break-even, I am going to quit"
Last year, I was running very great that it even paid for my entire trip to Korea and expenses. I used to think that I was winning because online made me better and I'm crushing these donks. But this year, I'm either just running horribly or I've been getting lucky in the past and I suck. Or both.

This table seemed very similar to 5NL on full tilt.
Another thing I wanna add is that I tend to not handle downswings in cash games very well. I am able to handle downswings in sngs and tournaments but not the cash games. Unfortunatley, there are no sngs at hollywood park and tournaments are only held at limited time.

may not be the best person to comment but except for raising UTG I would have pushed as well.

Could of been better to raise pre, live cash there is a lot of limpers and therefore we could end up in a pot with 5 others. However when you got the chance you got it in good, and put yourself in a favourable position. Well played

This is fine. If you have a high % read that a limped pot will get raised then your play is standard. You want the Ace rags calling you all day here. When you buy-in is capped like here then trapping and getting it AIPF is the norm.

I play the 2/5 at hollywood

When I go thru Penn off exit 80 I stop and play them there. Your finish move was correct even tho you got beat. I personally would have raised to $25 pre BEFORE even under the gun. That way you have narrowed the field and could have bet "all in" at the flop But I'm not perfect but my last outing at hollywood was a $2500+ win! I don't like 1/2 live cash. I much prefer a 2/5 cash game caliber of players better and ppl respect raises. You can defend you hand better AND get PAID! Save up and move up to 2/5 you'll see what I'm talking about! The minimun that I feel comfortable as a buy in at $2/$5 live ash is $500.to sit down with one full rebuy of $500 in my pocket

You should raise pre at 1/2. But also, your squeeze should be to like 40...no reason to price out all the worse hands because QQ is 99% dominating in this situation.
