This was in Live Play and I want to see what others thoughts were on the hand.

In 9 handed Live play 1/2 NL.

Hero's Table Image: Tight

Stack Size: (Max buy in was $100)
Hero: UTG+1= $250
Villain: SB= $100
BB= $125

Hero Dealt: 8 9 spades

UTG Fold, Hero raise to $8 (medium raise for table), 5 folds, SB calls, BB calls.

FLOP: Ac, 10c, and 7h
Villain bets $10, BB folds, Hero calls.

Turn: 4c
Villian bets $15, Hero calls

River:6c
Villain bets $30, Hero ?

Reads:
Villain has over valued his pairs since he sat down at the table... He bets hands like TPLK, and weak 2 pair. I put him on 2 pair or TPGK but he may have a small flush that hit on river....

I dont think villain has the flush but is there anyway I can call when all it will take to beat my str8 is 1 club? What are peoples thoughts.

Explanation for playing 89 suited: I had been playing tight most of the day and only showed down strong hands. I had been able to buy a few pots 20-30 min ago and hand not played since. Was looking to either buy the blinds or get in a situation where I could spring a hand on someone. Not my typical line with 89s.

hmm. I know you had an explanation for playing 89s here but I still like folding pre.

Anyway I did this on stove:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 20.000% 20.00% 00.00% 12 0.00 { TT, 77, AQs+, ATs, A7s-A4s, 9c8c, AdKc, AdKh, AdKs, AhKc, AhKd, AhKs, AsKc, AsKd, AsKh, AdQc, AdQh, AdQs, AhQc, AhQd, AhQs, AsQc, AsQd, AsQh, AJo, AdTc, AdTh, AdTs, AhTc, AhTd, AhTs, AsTc, AsTd, AsTh }
Hand 1: 80.000% 80.00% 00.00% 48 0.00 { 9s8s

Someone correct my range if it's wrong. This range is only if he really over values pair hands/sets etc.

To be honest I don't really see him betting the river without some kind of flush but due to the Ace of clubs being out there, I think it's much less likely that he'll have one by the river. Bleh if that range is right then we should probably call
