Stack sizes? Likelyhood that the villain would raise his straddle?

Whatever our stack sizes I'm for sure never limp/calling 88 here, UGH!!

Depending on villain's tendency to raise his straddle, I'm either limp/3-bet here or just raising. For limp/3-bet I'd make it $45 to go, for the raise I'd make it $22.

On the flop your bet size was the typical live, let's just make it a bit more then the original bet, $15 only servers to inflate the pot. Make it $35. You are just begging an aggressive player to steal the hand from you with big bets.

As played, with your terrible mistakes, fold to the flop raise.

Limping pre is awful, donk betting that flop is awful, calling that raise is not good, should of 3 bet or folded even though calling is not totally horrible.

If we don't have a solid read on him, I'd look at it this way: he's playing it exactly like a live TAG who has a big pair and doesn't want draws catching up to him...

I agree. 4 handed, 88 is a fairly strong starting hand and I would be leading out here. I prefer to be the aggressor, especially in short handed scenarios.

His raise on the flop is a little suspicious, considering how large it is compared to your bet. Although your lead out bet is weak compared to the pot size, so it is possible he sensed weakness and tried to push you off with two overs. Personally, I would either fold to his bet or re-raise him, all depending on how you feel about his hand. I hate flat calling when I have a mid-pair thats over to the board, too many cards that can hit that will make your decisions harder down the road.

Seems a TAG to me.

If I compare the strength of my hand and pot odds, I think I would fold to his reraise (on the flop).

I want to see more of his hands and how he plays.

Raise preflop, don't limp. If villain tends to play his straddles aggressively, flat his 3bet. If he checks straddles a lot, fold to a 3bet.

As played, check/call flop. Leading out is pretty bad, especially with that sizing. As Jilly said, you're just begging the straddler to raise you.
