Never posted a live hand HH before so sorry if it looks silly. I’m also on mobile.

I’m in the SB with 89cc. (~$450 effective)

Preflop: UTG makes it $7, 5 calls ahead of me. I call as does the BB.

Flop: Kc 6c 2c

I donk bet $40 from the SB, only UTG calls (he covers me and is basically an unknown)

Turn: 3h

I bet $100, UTG calls fairly quickly.

River: 8h

Hero ?????????

Clear value bet, and an easy fold if he raises you. He is never bluffing here, and he will just flat call all non-nut flushes.

Agree with the bet/fold on the river here, I like to set the price and not have to figure out what I can call if I check and villain bets. I'd size my bet on the smaller side as I would if I had the nuts.

Yea, I'm not check calling here. You lose value from hands you beat that would call and you're calling when the hands that beat you bet.

As I add it up the pot there are 8 calls for a total of $56 pre, $136 on the flop, and $336 on the turn. With ~$450 effective behind there is 450-7-40-100 or ~$300 behind. Hero has set up a less pot size bet all in on the river. Why not take it.

How many hands open UTG with 2 clubs? AQ? Sure AJ? maybe AT? possible, but I wouldn't A7? A5? A4? or A3? I don't think so. QJ?or JT? maybe, QT, J7 or worse? I don't think so. So 5 combos are beating Hero. AA, KK, AK all call the flop and maybe the turn. That's 25 combos without QQ, JJ, or 66.

How many hands that are behind will call a raise? I wouldn't. How many of those hands will bluff (or maybe think they're good) if checked to? more than 3?

No point in betting with so few losing hands strong enough to call. I check and call it off. A pot size bet is giving Hero 2 to 1 on the call, so if Villain will bet just 3 losing combos Hero has the odds to call.
