Fold. If you were heads up with the MP 2, then sweet as, go for gold! But with 2 others behind you're not oging to be a favourite at all. Just get rid of the hand and live to fold again. AK is a great tournament hand, it's just overplayed in cash and people don't think it can be folded pre, when it easily can.

Gross. Probably a fold. 1-2 live plays so nitty preflop, 3-bets are really rare.

My guess is that it's a slightly +EV spot where you're going to be getting it in with a little less than 50% equity but my actual play would depend on how losing a flip would effect the rest of my night.

You're getting 1.5-1 preflop with an unsuited/unmade hand and you're facing a 4bet shove. AK is not going to be ahead here.

I didn't say it was ahead. I said we're flipping.

With the dead money and the fact that the 2+2er is shoving a less than 100bb stack over a shorty (so not necessarily the top of his range), I think we're +EV.

I don't know what an unmade hand has to do with anything. I'd surely rather get it in here with AKo vs say JJ.

The weird thing to me to try to figure out was how MP 1 affects the hand. He's pretty tight so i would guess his flatting range 66-TT maybe even through QQ. AJs+, KQs, AQo, maybe some AK hands. Which makes it less likely HJ shows up with KK, AA , but reduces my outs if flipping.
Does that make sense?

I might just end up puke folding. Having behind us MP1 does affect our play since you have a read of calling a raise only once before.

Was 3BB a standard open on a straddle?

I didn't even consider him because he's always folding but he could certainly be holding some of your outs. I still think it's likely a marginally profitable spot.

What, you mean you'd rather AKo over JJ? Give me JJ any day.

To me, this is a fold preflop. Like I said, heads up sure, but not 3 ways. AK is a great tournament hand, and a good cash game hand, but not in this situation.

One thing you guys are forgetting this is LIVE... SMARTASS guy?

generally those young smarty guys get way too much credit but usually are in my experience aggro fish with pretty cards.

Shortstacker shoving is a call... If you can't afford to coin flip then fold but seriously send this guy home.

AKo isn't great but neither is our villain and should be better than villain some of the time and even if we behind we should win 1/3 of the time we are behind. Dead money as well it's a shove and hope to isolate the fish short stacker.
