So this is 200NL live poker played at a casino with $1/$3 blinds. Hero is deep-stacked with about $1000, villain is also deep-stacked with about $1200 and everyone else on the table has under $400. Villain is an Asian guy who is a bit of a calling station. The table in general is quite passive.
Hero is dealt KK from MP2
Preflop: SB posts $1, BB posts $3, UTG calls $3, Villain raises to $18 from UTG+1, folds to hero who re-raises to $45, BTN shoves all-in for $50, villain calls $32 more, hero calls $5 more (since I wasn't allowed to 4bet) everyone else folded
Flop: $140 in main pot (locked, rake taken out)
Flop shows K94 rainbow
Villain checks, hero bets $50, villain calls $50
Turn: $240 in pot total
Turn shows an Ace
Villain checks, hero bets $175, villain calls $175
River: $590 in pot total
River is a brick low card
Villain checks, hero shoves all-in for $700, villain tanks for a while and eventually folds and flips over his cards (I will post results later).
Do you think I bet too much on this river? My aim was to stack hands like AK and lower sets and possibly get a hero call from hands like TT/JJ/QQ/KT/KJ/KQ. I didn't really consider him having hands like AT/AJ/AQ because I thought they would've folded on the flop. Thoughts?
