$200 NL HE Full Ring: Line Check on flopped set

Loose/aggressive raiser, playing at a full table in a local casino. 1/2 No limit.

SB - call
BB - call
UTG - limp, call
UTG+1 - limp, call
UTG+2 - limp, call
HERO is MP: 5h 5s ($900)
MP+1
MP+2
VILLAN is CO ($500) - raised to $10
BTN

Everyone limps to the CO who raises to $10, 5 callers and I make the call with pocket 5s.

POT = $60
Flop comes down 7c 5d 4d

Check, Check, Check, Check, Check, HERO bets $25, VILLAN raises to $125, HERO?

My bet on the flop is sized small to induce a raise from the PFR, after some thought I was thinking whether a check raise would be better because of our chip stacks, or a pot sized bet would have been better. Is this a spot to ship the rest of his stack in, or is there room for one more raise? Opinions?

The ranges of hands that I put him on at that moment included all over pairs, any over cards + flush draw combos n possible sets (77, 44).

Thanks.

Leading is ok, but this is a pretty awesome spot for a c/r if villain cbets lots. Checked to him, he cbets, 5 other players get a chance to call/raise before you act. But leading is fine if you think he'll check back overs and stuff.

If we are leading though I like much bigger. You're never inducing. He either has something he's calling/raising with, or he doesn't, and he won't adjust his ranges much based on your raise size. So just bet bigger for value if you are leading in order to get the most of his stack committed as possible and charge all his calling range the most possible.

As played we're never ever folding and are happy to get it in; just punch overs+combo draws into pokerstove. I probably just shove to rep a combo draw myself and hopefully get a call from an overpair.

Hey thanks for the tips, this "poker stove" is a very cool application.

I entered in his range, giving him a larger range for evalutation purposes and it shows i'm about 86% favorite over his range. He is a tricky player in position so his range would not be limited to just top hands.

Board: 5d 7c 4d
Dead:
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 86.347% 85.08% 01.26% 1111014 16516.50 { 55 }
Hand 1: 13.653% 12.39% 01.26% 161763 16516.50 { 22+, A2s+, K2s+, Q2s+, J2s+, T2s+, 92s+, 82s+, 72s+, 62s+, 52s+, 42s+, 32s, ATo+, KTo+, QTo+, JTo }

I was thinking a bigger lead out would had resulted in a raise/call from the raiser, but there was a chance he had a hand like AK etc and would check back this ragged board so I didn't want to check it to him, but I didn't want to blow people out of the water with a 3/4 or pot sized bet.

I've mentioned that he is fairly aggressive raiser with a loose range. So raising with hands that are trash would not be out of the question. I've seen him play hands such as K-2o and 8-4o, and his shown no signs of just raising premiums.

As it turned out, he opened 8c-6c for the nut straight, but I was lucky to fill up right away on the turn.

Ahh fair enough, well it's an insanely sick flop but yeah you're still like 2-1 V's the flopped str8's and his raising range here is wider than a lexicographer's linguistic skills if they have pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis in their vocabulary.

If you play this person again 3bet them more and put massive amounts of pressure on the flop. I'd suggest creating a 3-betting range balanced in relation to your position V's him.
