long winded rambler...

this is live $1/2 and I've just been destroying the table but in a TAG way. I'm not really limping along or playing a lot of pots. I'm just raising the limpers huge with value hands and then barrelling big and extracting max. So I'm playing like 4-6 hands per hour, literally. There's only 1 other guy at the table who seems interested in raising the limpers and he's on my right. everyone else is happy to see cheap flops.
I've got ~$600 (300bb) I cover the table most stacks in this hand are between $100-$250.
So, I'm on the button and a limpede starts. The dude on my right who likes to raise the limpers just limps along. I decide to make a super super loose limp with I'm just playing my button essentially with suited potential vs terrible players.
In the end it's 8 players to a flop. pot contains $16
flop
checks to the nitty old man in the LJ and he bets $8 off a stack of ~$175
It folds to me I flat on button and both the SB and BB flat.
4 players see a turn. pot contains 48.
turn is
checks to old man who bets $8 again. That is such a weak bet. he either has a draw or a weak value hand. but most likely a draw. his draws are probably better than mine but he's nitty and I think I can get him to fold either now with a raise or on the river if the diamonds miss. Plus I need to fold out the crumb bums in the blinds.
so I raise to $45
the blinds fold and the nitty old man starts tanking. this is good. I know if he had a pair plus flush draw he would just insta call. he either has a bare flush draw or an open ender or a medium pair like JT. He almost folds but then reluctantly puts the chips out. He has no hollywood in him, this is a real dilemma for him.
I caution myself to check back if a diamond comes. I've also seen this nitty old man make his draw and check OOP trying to "trap" several times so if the diamond comes I'll just fold to his shoves, call his small and medium bets and check back if he checks.
pot contains $138. He has ~125 behind.
river
he checks to me and now I abort my plan of firing misses because I've picked up showdown value and he's occasionally made 2 pair. I could try and fold out a J but he looks so dejected that I'm pretty sure I can just check and he's gonna show me missed diamonds and I can sheepishly roll my hand.
Questions: OK, preflop is wacky I know. I think flop is fine. What about the turn raise, how is my plan? and River? should I just fire anyways to try and fold out his Jx and prevent myself from having to show the table what I raised the turn with?
