I thought about it of course. In hindsight, I wish I would have done that. I just thought he would pay me off. I thought it would look like a draw (5-7s perhaps, I limped, and then called raise preflop) or a weaker 4 than he had if I shoved.
I definitely figured the LAST hand he would think I had was 6's full.
Also, there were a couple other similar spots villain was involved in with other players. He did not fold to any pressure. That was the dynamic I was basing my play on. But in the end, I screwed myself. A smooth call would have guaranteed a double up by the river.
I just wanted to see if anyone else thought my line was incorrect also.
