this happend at a live cash game, I'm thinking A9/A8 suited?
villain pretty solid and dont think capable of a 3 bet bluff on the river

Did he show the Ah before or after you folded?

I like how you played the flop and turn.

I'd be pumping it up to about $90 on the river though, and calling off a shove.

He could easily have 2 pair(KT/T9/T8 etc.) or a slowplayed straight.

hi thanks for showing an interest,
she showed the Ace of hearts after I tanked for 5 minutes and folded. I'd been playing with her for about 4 hours or so and she seemed so straight forward. Hadn't been caught bluffing once and when it came to showdown she usually took the pot. Just didnt seem feesable to me to 3-bet the straight on the river. But due to her showing the Ace of hearts, I'm thinking A9/A8 suited (hearts). Just don't know if thats too weaker fold in the long term.

Your opponent called $5 on the flop, so I assume he is not holding two hearts. Unless he hit a pair as you did. I would have placed all my money in there, no matter what the consequence ends up as. I don't see myself laying down two hearts.

I get where you're coming from but do you not think she would've called $5 if she hit middle pair top kicker? or A9 giving her an open-ended straight draw with an overcard and backdoor nut flush? those are the two hands I can put her on seeing as she definately had the A of hearts in her hand and flatting flop and turn then donking the river and 3betting my raise.

i think so often im gunna have the best hand here. Even if I'm behind i think I'd find out on the turn if not the flop. Still, with a limp pot I think you definately have to make any 9 pay to see another card. By the turn I've got a decent flush dra and top pair so can't slow down. Even if someone is slowplaying a set/straight I've got 18% majority of the time.

I don't think you can really flat the river. You say vil is very straightforward, but how are you perceived? I think by raising such a small amount OTR you make it look like you flopped the draw w/ the 9 and are trying to take down the pot because your draw bricked.
I think you have to raise river though because there's definitely value to be had maybe a little more though. As played I don't see straightforward villain coming over the top with worse- especially since ace got shown
