AQ (red cards( sorry I forgot specific suit but they weren't black or clubs--I think?)) raises to 12 Mp1 calls, Mp2 calls

Early Calls

Flop: 2c Ac 10c

BB continues 35 both come along

Turn: Kc

BB: Bet 35; Mp1 calls, Mp2 allin

BB Folds, Mp1 folds.

I understand this textured board I probably shouldn't bet the turn with the 4th club, I get that now. Preflop raising also, should i have led out (on the flop) even with 3 clubs on board; or should I always cede position in situations like that (even though technically I don't have position.)

I wouldn't lead out on that flop due to position and the board texture, if you were in later position however I would consider c-betting to protect my hand.

but how can c betting in any position protect you? it's odds on someone has a club...

I was referring to c-betting on the flop, the turn was an easy fold with 2 people calling his bet on the flop.

I do like Cbetting the flop but a much smaller sizing. With a pot size cbet, we're probably going to get raised more often than called which means were going to have to fold a lot and we'll burn that $35 every time we get raised. were folding out the hands that we have significant equity against. By betting something like 15, we dont burn as much money when we get raised and we get called a lot by the worse pairs that we would otherwise force to fold. Betting big doesnt protect us anymore than betting small. At least not enough more to make up for the value we could be getting from worse hands by betting small.

+1

Out of position (and especially multi-way), you always want to keep the pot size/bets manageable. Otherwise, you're getting stuck in big pots where your information is limited
