I was thinking about another JJ hand after posting the last one, this one occurred some time ago.

There's a raise UTG to $10, 4 people call, including SB, I have JJ in BB and bump it to $45. Everyone folds except SB, who calls with just $80 behind.

There's a weird dynamic here in that everyone instafolded, which I expected to happen and I *THOUGHT* the SB had folded, too. Villain is unknown, older guy and presumably bad, speaks Spanish FWIW. Had bought in for $100, busted (didn't show down any hands, just mucked after he got all-in and lost) and rebought once.

So I was not even paying attention, just thinking I had taken it down preflop and the board comes out: :as4: :7d4: :2c4: and I look and villain has put half his stack in.

I am totally confused and baffled and looking at the pot, looking at his stack, checking because I'm not even sure he has chips left.

Do you just stick it in here and hope for random bizarreness like he has a weird bluff or will make some retardo fold??

Bump to 60-80 pre. As played idk I think I'm fine with either stacking or checking back.

I'm probably folding. Definitely agree the raise pre should be bigger.

AK and this hand same mistake of not raising big enough pre bro.

as played he bets 40 into 128ish? and he has 40 behind.

I find it super hard to get away from this, we have to blockers to AJ and combos of A7 and A2 are reduced, he 3bets AK/AQ surely?
so that leaves like AT,A9, A8 but I think he could be doing this with like 6s through Ts as like a fishy "does he have teh A".

I flat to keep these in as I think he folds them if we jam thinking we have the A and I know hes super pot committed but he doesnt realise it (why would he donk here with Ax if he wasnt a retard and back call half his stack and buy in for 50bb etc) then call any turn

somebody could do the combos math on this on our price as he has less than a PSB for starters and now hes giving us 40 into 160ish

TBH $45 was a huge raise the way this game was playing but I hear you.

you were dead on the money btw, I pushed all in and he called with TT.

i agree with the bigger raise preflop but I also agree with the all in push after the flop - his bet could have been a trap but he doesn't sound that smart :) so you played it great by my book
