So this was a little over a year ago, at my second ever live casino game. MP1 limps and 2 more callers, I raise to 40 dollars. Very loosey goosey bunch calling almost everything. First two fold, then CO goes all in.

Now I tank because it's been a little over an hour. Haven't seen this guy in too many flops. and he called preflop instead of raising. I think he was trying to bully me for my age and was trying to play some 3d chess with maybe a low pocket pair. Either way, looking back I didn't realize the value in position that I may have been getting and probably should have called, but i ended up folding. I had him covered also, that's why I didn't think it was a good call. I know that sounds counter-intuitive, but did I make the right decision?

Effective stacks if I remember correctly: I had about 280, he had just under 200 about 180-175 or so.

If you already decided to raise to 40$, there was around 140$ more to call, so call seems like a next move here

I would have raised too (smaller)... I don't think I'd raise so big very often and not with the intention of folding to more action.

Arguments for a fold this is AA and KK a good deal... You are flipping a lot and rarely ahead.

Given the action I would still generally be calling here (there's a lot in the pot already) unless I'd seen them limp-reraise such strong hands previously.

Worst case you reload with a new read on villain.

You need 39% equity to make the call,if villain shoves QQ+ AK you have 42% equity and the wider villain shoves the more profitable it becomes. So i believe this is a call unless you have info they only do it with say KK+.

Agree with the odds, but have to add that there is no way villain is limping and not betting QQ+ . From villain's point of view, he was facing 2 limpers already and when he limps, there is such a huge chance that at least two more players limp (BTN cause he is in position and BB who just checks). Therefore no reason to risk it.

It seems like he wanted to bully you, so he can have some small pocket pairs or an AXs. Personally would call here.
