$200 NLHE Full Ring: AJ hits A on flop. Villains makes pot size bet. Did I make the right move?

So I was playing at the Harrah's New Orleans this weekend and after winning their Saturday morning tournament, I went to go play at their $1 $2 NLHE cash game. So I had been getting some good starting hands and so therefore had been playing a few more hands than usual. However, I had not lost but maybe a pot or two, and they were lost by me folding, not showing down. Everytime I showed down, I had the best hand. Anyway, the guy directly to my left was playing pretty tight. He was the biggest stack at this time. I had about $250 in front of me. So Im in late middle position at a full table and I get AJo. It folds to me and I raise to $7. Big stack next to me raises to $20. Folds back to me, and I call. The flop comes A,9,4 two hearts. I check and he bets $50, which is about the size of the pot. I figure his reraise preflop narrowed his range to Qs+ or AK. With two aces in play, its slightly more likely he has Qs or Ks but not much more likely. So I fold. Did I make the right decision by folding? Should I have bet into the flop first? Or should I have raised his pot-sized bet? I posted this in the parent forum first because the hand analysis section was blacked out for me for some reason.

Fold preflop.

He is almost always going to continuation bet in this situation. If you're gonna fold even when you hit your ace-why play?

To be honest, you don't even feel great if you hit your jack. Are u willing to commit most of your stack on a jxx flop? You said yourself he likely has qq+.

Aj is ok to play in some situations, but is easily dominated by premiums. Id let it go preflop.

As played, good fold

Fold preflop. The fact that you have been running good shouldn't enter your mind at all. Tight player (your read) 3-bet you, AJo is an easy fold.

Okay granted I should have folded before the flop, what would been the correct move on the flop? I mean there is like a 57% chance that he has Qs or Ks compared to AK or A's. And if I'm off on his range and he would even 3 bet me with Js, his range that I can beat is even bigger

If his range is so tight and he's not too bad, you should fold 100%. KK or QQ should never cbet a Axx board. His cbet range should be AK,AQ or air, but if he's tight, he has no air in his range, you got an easy fold.

I agree, AJ easy fold pre flop against a 3 betting tight player.
