THIS IS 200 Full Ring w/ $1/2 blinds. IDK why the title says 400NL.

Reads: 9 handed. I've been playing w/ Villian for a few hours, he's a bit loose preflop, but solid postflop. Hasn't really gotten out of line postflop. He has a tendency to bet far too small sometimes postflop though (like 1/4th the pot). Other villian has made one bluff before and he's raised weak hands preflop several times. Other than that, no real read on him. Overall, the table is solid, but quite alot of limping preflop.

Stacks: I have $135, villian has ~$160. Preflop raiser has about $250.

UTG+2 limps (who is also loose preflop). I limp in MP1 with A

. CO limps, button (the main villian in this hand) limps, SB completes, BB raises to $12. Folds to me and I call, CO and Button call.

Flop comes A

. I bet $26. Only the button calls. Turn is 9

. Best move here? You can comment on preflop or on the flop also if you think there's a better line.

Flop bet ok? So shove turn? Note that at this point the pot is $100, and I have $100 and villian slightly covers me.

yeesh, i forgot we have shortish stack. I think on the flop the pot is about ~50 right? You should've bet like 40 on the flop, that way we have an easy shove on the river.

As played...I know i want to bet the turn but i dont really want to shove...maybe someone else can help

Well you can't really bet fold with our stack size? I actually like ch/shoving the turn in an aggressive game but live we're probably better off just shoving ourselves since he's unlikely to bet his draws if we check and likely to call his draws when we shove. We're not good here a decent percentage of the time but it should be enough to make stacking profitable.

"stacking" is always profitable. how would winning someone's stack ever not be profitable?

unless you're playing with like debt tokens or something i dunno or play money

By stacking I mean getting all-in. If we stack our opponent or get stacked is the question.

Yeah, any reasonable turn bet will leave us pot committed. As for calling w/ draws, he should fold a lone flush draw, but call with something like a pair and a good flush draw. He'll be getting 2:1 if we shove, so it should be an easy fold for the lone K of spades. Also, w/ my read on villian, I believe he'll fold a weak ace (because I've got a very tight image). Still a shove Hillbilly?

I really doubt he folds the Ks to a shove even without a pair only because most of his Kings are either going to have a pair or GS draw to go with the flush outs. People hate folding FDs in general but realistically he's got a lot of KQ/KJ/KT/K9 with a spade that aren't very likely to fold if we shove. I still shove.

Yea just jam turn with our stack size. We probably aren't happy if we're called but low limit donks could have a wide range here

Raise to $10 preflop and this hand is much easier to play. You're likely to isolate the loose upfront player, buy the button, and have control of the hand post-flop. At a minimum it buys you a free turn card the majority of the time.

As played the 9c doesn't scare me much, I think shoving the turn is probably my default play.

K thnx for the replies. I shoved, villian instant called w/ a flopped king high flush. I figured, and I guess you guys agreed, that flush draws and pair+FDs make up such a large % of his range that shoving is profitable.
