$200 NLHE Full Ring: $200 NLHE Full Ring: Live KK in position against early raiser

Hi everyone- new poster here, I’ve been getting a lot out of reading this forum and am hoping for the group’s wisdom and critiques on a recent hand:

1/3 Live NLHE full table.

Villain in UTG + 2 is guy I read as a LAG with about $270 behind opens preflop with a $10 raise which is pretty standard for the table.

I’m in CO with KdKh and $360 ish behind. I have been playing fairly aggressively when in position, recently winning a number of pots without showdown. Folds around to me, I raise $10.

BB calls. V calls.

Flop Jc 3d 6s. Pot is $63

BB checks, V bets $60. I call and BB folds.

Turn 7c. V bets $60. Pot is now $243.

I raise $120. V calls and goes all-in for his few remaining chips. I call...

Re-raise bigger pre-flop - I would be making it $30 or $35 in a loose live game... the original raiser is priced in to call with whatever they have when you raise this small

As played I'm going with it on the turn most of the time (nothing wrong with raising flop and getting it in either).

You beat AJ (KJs, QJs) and QQ... also hard to believe they would flop a set and bet out for the full pot on the flop but I've seen stranger things.

Good luck to you! :D

Thanks. That is very helpful on the preflop raise size. V ended up with 33, which I think he would have been priced off if I was more aggressive going in.

Yea, raise more pre.

Raise more on the turn.

There's too many hands you can beat (if he's a bad player) to fold to his re-reraise, so fairly easy call.
