Hi guys I played an interesting hand the other day at a 1/2 NL live table and would like some feedback.

I was holding A:heart: 8:heart: in the SB. It is folded around to the BTN who limps. The BB and I limp.

Flop: A:club: 8:club: J:spade: $6 in pot

I bet $5. BB and BTN call.

Turn: 9:heart: $21 in pot

I bet $15. BB calls and BTN raises to $45

The BTN and I are both deep stacked "200BB deep"

Fold pre. You'll rarely ever get value from made hands OOP with this.
I'd have called the turn. Check/folded the river unless an A or 8 comes out.

Nope, raise pre. A8s is certainly good enough to raise a limper oop.

As played I fold unless you have any history on him. If he can do this with draws here then I call and x/c bricked rivers.

As played, fold. Ever hear the saying "don't go broke in a limped pot?" Fits perfectly here. Villain could have you beat with 10-7/Q-10/A-9 or you could dominate his J-9/9-8 hand. It's not worth it. And ranging a standard 1/2 player in this spot is nearly impossible; they will limp with any hand and will chase anything for only $5.

Raise pre.

I would recommend you to fold to the buttons raise there. Also with a 30$ re-raise he definitely would be holding a straight or atleast a higher 2pair...
Also i would suggest you to make bigger bet preflop and postflop..

Hard not to fold turn there but might be best. I have to believe a 1/2 button limper live is probably two barreling everything he could possibly have here no matter what the river is. You could be crushing, you are probably more likely to be getting killed but not tremendously more likely. Bottom line, if you get money in here its just a guess and never with better than 50/50 odds.
