$200 NLHE Full Ring: 15$ flop bet with HUGE implied odds...correct call?
I want to start off by saying this happened in a live game, so there is no hand converter. I will do my best to make this readable.
Also, some history: I've been playing for about 3 hours, and really bad player just sat down, paying off EVERYONE at the table with mediocre hands, calling to the river with bottom pair, every time for all of his chips. I was leaving when my next button reached me...
okay, the hand: I am UTG, but the table had been straddling, so I posted my straddle. I have about ~400 in chips in the 9 seat, other people have me covered, crazy bad player is in the 4 seat and has about 150$ in chips.
Its folded to the 4 seat who calls, and its folded again to the big blind who calls, I check my hand with 6♦9♥
. Flop comes 9♣
. Big blind checks, I check, and Crazy person bets $15, big blind folds. Action to me:
Okay, here's the question: I KNOW that he has a pair to the board, Likely a King or an Ace. I also KNOW that if I improve my hand he will stack off to me every time he doesn't improve his... Are the implied odds
enough to justify calling the 15$ bet in hopes of spiking a 6 or a 9 on the turn and stacking him?
