re: Poker & $200 NLHE Full Ring: $1/$3 Live - Flush Draw + OESD Facing Turn Shove
My $0.02 here.
I don't like the raise OTF. We are against what seems to be a gambooler, and we probably don't have too much FE. We are increasing variance, and bloating the pot by raising. We are OOP, and could get into a tough spot on turn when we barrel.
We have 2nd NFD, and a gutter. We are just gambling taking the line you took.
See we could just call the flop, and check and see what V does on the turn. If he gives us a good price on turn (he won't), we could proceed. When we see the turn, we can certainly get a clearer idea of V's range based on his action (when we check to him).
There's no shame in just calling flop, and re-assessing the turn. However, we have turned this spot into a fight for our stack. I don't like it one bit. Position is the problem here. We can't control the size of the pot. And we are complicating things by bloating it. We are not value betting, we are bluffing
. High variance line here.
V probably has at least 10x, but likely some 10x combo hand. But V could read us for exactly what we have here. I'm sure he is thinking about FD. So we are helping V get max value for his hand.
