$200 NL HE Full Ring: $1-2$ Live Game-Bad Beat or Well Played

I am 8 pos. have K4s, 6 pos calls $2bb, 7 pos. calls 2$bb, I call, all fold but BB.

Flop is 4h,5c,Ks,

6 pos checks, 7 raises 35, I call, BB folds, 6 pos calls

turn is 10h

6 pos checks, 7 raises 35, I have short stack so I call 18 all in, 6 pos calls

River is As

6 checks, 7 checks

I show K4, 7 doesn't show says I have him, and 6 shows A5s.

Did I play right or did I get bad beat

I haven't played live in a while so I decided to take 60 in and play minimum, I new I would be short stacked most of the night, but I thought all in on that was worth it. What do you guys think, and thanks for any info, it is much appreciated.

Two pair is a dangerous hand to play slowly.

I'd have raised all in on the flop (because of your short stack, otherwise I'd have still raised but I'd probably have made it the minimum to tempt them into making a bad call, whilst still making them pay through the nose for the next card).

The money to be made from two pair is from people making loose calls and mistakes. It's really very easy to get outdrawn, especially when one of your pairs is the bottom pair. Personally I'd consider that 7 is going to call 18 more on the flop, and BB and 6 at that stage I'd think would probably fold (regardless of whether you call or raise) and as a result I'd just shove all in and be done with it, you're almost certainly ahead at this stage and with two pair I'd really just settle for what's in the pot + 7's call.

Also, K4s? Okay, so you've got position... but it's still marginal at best. If I were going to play it, I'd try to isolate one opponent pre-flop and try to take the pot down on the flop but even then it's a situational play, and I wouldn't do it often.

Finally, what was 7 doing? $9 in the pot (-rake) and he fires off $35 (slight overbet, don't you think?), gets two callers and takes another stab at it on the turn?

I play a lot of 1-2 live, I almost never play J,Q,K,A rag because your either out kicked or you get counterfeited too often for it to be profitable. Villain's bet of $35 is strange here, the pot only has $19 in it. You really have to shove that flop or fold. He would probably realize his garbage hand was beat and he would probably fold. If he calls, buy back in and really exploit him.

I wouldn't slow play hands weaker then a set because the way people chase in 1-2$ you can really get burned.

thanks guys, I really appreciate the critique. Live cash games are so much different that I remember. Or maybe I have been playing to much online. Either way much appreciated.
