$200 NL HE Full Ring: 1-2 NL Full on PS -- Donk call?

I'll start by saying I misplyed this but got paid off on it...

Background to this hand: I played this villian hu about 30 hands earlier with pocket jacks...played it very very passively and won a small pot with the overpair to his overpair of TT...figured the passive play would help later when this came up...

i limped utg in hopes of reraising but when the previous hand villian raised i elected to just call as i know he would be uber aggressive and i probably couldnt call a 4 bet shove...post flop i did nothing right but make a hero call...is this a donk call or was i right to think that he was just playing based on my passive play earlier? any suggestions to a better line post flop?

if ur plan is to limp/r then limp/r here and be happy to get it in vs an uber aggressive opponent. If not, then just raise it preflop. As played turn is an easy call vs an obviously spastic opponent.

Yeah...limping in with AKo is pretty bad. Either open raise or stick to your plan of limp/3 betting

I think it was prefect, you were priced in to see the turn, had what $20 into the hand ? or was it $18, anyways, you were priced in to see one more card, luckily you improved and were able to dominate an aggressive donk.

Id play it the same, and I wouldnt open with AK in that situation, that is just creating a large preflop pot, where the bet after the flop wouldnt give you enough equity to call, seeing as how you had about %15 in the way you played, do anything else like open AK with a raise you could be risking %50 or so after the flop and you wouldnt have the right odds to chase 6 outs
