Buy in full. Defend thy BB with all broadways against the blasphemous wide BTN openers.

Just call to see flop, raise is not big enough and there is always a chance to hit something like a straight in first 5 cards...it happens a lot in online poker. ;)

What does it matter if it's Negreanu? It's just another ass in a seat with two cards. :p

Most importantly is what was your image? I would assume by not coming to the table with a full buy-in and questioning how to play QJo vs a button raiser that you are/were playing semi-passive NIT. He most likely has either figured that out or assumes it because of the many there are and raised ATC here expecting you to fold or 3 bet. I would have re-raised to $15 and re-evaluate my hand on the flop.

From my assumption of your table image you did what was best and fold. I'm not convinced that you were rolled for sitting at this table either.

Um is he still playing 10/9 lol.

Basic and common preflop spots aside (why are people taking the question seriously there's no way that's the reason OP made this topic?) I can't decide whether to root for or against DNeg on all of this. Short handed online cash play has traditionally not been kind to MTT sunrunners (Obrestad was one of my biggest donators before she eventually quit 6max... I have a couple of stories about that btw). Have to imagine Ike or Kanu taught Daniel a few things about 6max cash since his last time he made an effort at it.

I have 2.8k in my bankroll which I won from tournments. I just sat down at the table so I had no image. For me playing a weak hand like QJ OOP against best player in the world doesn't seem like a good spot.

I think from micro/low limit turbo tournments I have learnt to wait til the blinds are worth stealing and play tight early stages and loose later on. So I think for me its just second nature to fold marginal spots when blinds are deep vs good players especially. Daniel wasn't opening to much at my table, he seemed fairly tight. so yea I mucK QJ because Im not comftable playing this deep OOP with Daniel negranu on my button lol.

Daniel Negranu plays $200 NL? Isn't that too low for him?

I have watched Daniel play numerous times, he will often bet in that position with relatively weak cards, J 10, J 9 etc. a call to see the flop would be the wise move

Daniel Negranu plays $200 NL? Isn't that too low for him?

Its very high limit for him, I do not think that even in the nl 200 he be profitable player..
He can not win many reg in this limit sure...
Negreanu best in offline poker, in online he did not show good results never... Because statistics ( HUD ) kill poker..

daniel is going to be opening at least 40% from the button so your QJo should have an equity edge against his average hand + you're being laid odds on calling from the bb. so you have to either defend or 3-bet. standard would be to defend.
