$200 NL HE 6-max: AK top 2 on paired board vs maniac

Don't know much about villain except he's basically a maniac: something like 40/30. A few hands ago he 3B A4s in position to $14 (vs $6), called my $53 4bet, and shoved over my cbet on a JTx flop with the nut flush draw. My top set held.

Is betting turn/river too thin? Maybe more value in letting him bluff the turn/riv? As played are we calling his super extreme baluga raise?

Wow, thats really shitty. Given that he is such a spewtard i think calling off river is fine. He could easily be on a busted Tx, Qx. I like betting turn and river to get value from weaker Aces and Kings.

Shitty spot but played fine I think. Enough missed combo draws/weaker Aces that are there. You are getting way to good of odds to fold against a maniac at the end.

I think call here is fine... like you said he is a maniac, AJ, JK, are in his range and you can beat it, and you're commited here.

He can't beat AJ. But I would still call because this guy could be pushing any ace trying to push you off of a chop.

Against a maniac, i try to check call turn and river instead of betting. Maniacs love to fire at weakness, so i let them do that.

Check Call

I'm letting him do the betting in the given situation. The maniac bluff will often be enticed more through weakness as noted above. Can I play with him forever.... :)

I think betting the turn is OK since he'll often call with various kings and gutshots anyway, but I'm also a big fan of check/calling the river. His betting range is quite likely to be weaker than his calling range.

Though I can be a bit overly passive in spots like this, so perhaps bet/calling is the way to go. especially if he thinks his weak kicker was just (with a hand like A9) was just replaced with a king.
