CO: 92.5 BB (VPIP: 14.68, PFR: 5.81, 3Bet Preflop: 3.48, hands: 1,441)
BTN: 176.2 BB (VPIP: 15.79, PFR: 14.47, 3Bet Preflop: 3.70, Hands: 77)
Hero (SB): 100 BB
BB: 55.5 BB (VPIP: 14.29, PFR: 14.29, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 7)
UTG: 118.6 BB (VPIP: 28.57, PFR: 14.29, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 7)
UTG+1: 186.95 BB (VPIP: 28.57, PFR: 14.29, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 7)
UTG+2: 107.15 BB (VPIP: 18.75, PFR: 6.25, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 16)
MP: 110 BB (VPIP: 21.14, PFR: 12.85, 3Bet Preflop: 4.65, Hands: 623)
MP+1: 101 BB (VPIP: 21.14, PFR: 16.26, 3Bet Preflop: 10.64, Hands: 124)

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K:diamond: A:club:

fold, UTG+1 calls 1 BB, fold, fold, MP+1 raises to 5 BB, fold, BTN raises to 14 BB, fold, fold, UTG+1 raises to 29 BB, fold, fold

UTG+1 wins 49.5 BB

Now obviously what happens after I fold means I avoided potential disaster here. But I didn't know that UTG+1 limped a monster so not taking that into account what do you think of my decision here?

For me it was a shove or fold situation, I am OOP so really can't just flat it right?

I probably wouldn't fold if such a situation happens on a 6 max table but I believe one should be open to fold AK pre in a full ring game.

Fish limps, MP iso's; BTN 3bets MP's ISO, we can jam here pretty easy, yeah sometimes BTN has something strong, butt he's gonna be 3betting MP1 with a wide enough range to make jamming profitable.

Agreed.... John A teaches this button squeeze in his polished poker thread, the button doesn't need much of a hand to squeeze here so AK is likely well in front of the button. Any cold raise would do just as well, I don't think you have to shove, as you could run into exactly what happened here where it looks like the UTG+1 limped premium but being oop shoving takes the button's positional advantage away.

Fist pump jam. Too many people look at AK like it's scary because it is technically losing to a pair. But ranges include a lot of AQ/AJs and we're still racing with +EV (cause of the other $$$ in the pot) against pairs...and we have FE against 2s-10s (ish)

I am anything but scared going up against 22-QQ with my AK as I have plenty of bankroll. However this just seemed like a case of maybe the MP or the BTN have KK/AA that's why I folded.

AK vs AA is the worst possible situation you can get yourself in equity wise. No other hand that's worth shoving is so far behind another hand.

There is nothing wrong with that either. I go all in many times with AK as well.

Maybe 4bet preflop is a better choice.
