Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 20/18/2.5

Apology to those who may have seen this one already but had no feedback yet.

What about this spot? The guy squeezing from the blinds does it regularly, as I was in EP showing 12/8/30 on my own hud I figured a raise should get some respect, its simply a case of sizing, I didn't want to shove but wanted to make it big enough to get the job done, problem is can i fold if he shoves? Its half my stack

Pacific, $0.10/$0.20 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 8 Players

SB: $24.15 (120.7 bb)
BB: $32.56 (162.8 bb) marked as a slag reg 20/18/42 in 159, squeeze from blinds 25%
UTG+2: $9.25 (46.3 bb)
Hero (MP1): $20 (100 bb)
MP2: $14.77 (73.9 bb)
MP3: $20 (100 bb)
CO: $35.55 (177.7 bb)
BTN: $22.63 (113.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 8 8
UTG+2 calls $0.20, Hero raises to $0.60, MP2 calls $0.60, MP3 folds, CO calls $0.60, 2 folds, BB raises to $3.70, UTG+2 folds, Hero raises to $10.40, 3 folds

Results: $8.90 pot
Hero mucked 8 8 and won $8.90 ($5.20 net)

What is your vpip from medium position??? because a squeeze play is often against the co or button... unless your playing too wide from medium position, so you could be getting exploite.

Sometimes we have to examine ourselves in this spot to find out what our opponent sees... and work out whats on his mind

Squeezes a lot against loose guys, but might be a lot stronger against someone like you. So he steals off the fishies and traps the sharkies like urself

Don't mind your play at all against such a villain. Well played, that will teach him a lesson.

Even though this play might seem risky it is less risky against such villains and such chances have to be taken or else we will be bullied all day. Worst decision would be to flat. Folding would also be fine but i like this 4bet shove. :top:

its a really high variance play. if your cool with it then thats cool. I try not to get carried away with wierd hands even if villain is getting out of line.

that said, good read in this particular situation.

That's a lot of people to squeeze. That being said, I know people are going squeeze crazy now a days. Your 25% squeeze from the blinds is off how many hands though? I see you making plays based on stats like this, and the sample is usually small. I mean you'd need a lot of hands here to make this completely make sense. It's high, but the sample size couple be super small.
