Micro stakes (10NL). No read on villain with only 11 hands together. I'm the BTN; he's the SB. Flop is paired and 2-suited.

With no reads, how do you interpret villain's action? How would you proceed?

Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

CO: $2.03
Hero (BTN): $8.89
SB: $3.76
BB: $3.07
UTG: $7.50
UTG+1: $2.45
MP: $3.34
MP+1: $9.50
LP: $14.84

SB posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero has A K

fold, fold, MP calls $0.10, fold, fold, CO calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.50, SB calls $0.45, fold, fold, fold

Flop: ($1.30, 2 players) 7 4 4

Against an approximate range for an unknown villain at 10NL we are well in front here most of the time. He could be betting his flush draws, small overpairs etc. Being in position we can call this flop and see what villain does on the turn. If we don't improve and villain fires again we can easily fold, if he checks to us we can check behind for another card or see how he responds when we bet back at him.

Given that it's a pot-sized bet and we caught none of the flop, does this change anything? Or would you generally see one more street because this person is unknown? If he checked to us on the turn, how often do you think that betting to see how he responds get us to showdown as winners?

I'll also note (and this could be me as a newer player) but there seem to be an awful lot of multi-tabling regulars at the 10NL FR tables. Many of them auto buyin for $2-4 instead of max. They often seem very TAG to me and much tighter than the FR players I've seen on FullTilt. Again, I don't have much more than 6500 hands online experience, so I don't know if I should give myself a lot of credit for reading a table!

Sorry I didn't realise he was so short... If he's a nitty short stacker this is auto fold. We are not getting the odds for another card and he is basically committed as it is so he will probably just shove the turn. If he doesn't then I don't think he will fold if you bet back at him.

If we were 100bbs deep here everything would be more in our favour. If we floated this flop and got checked to we could take it down on the turn or even better our hand could improve. Just beware though even if our hand does improve and he keeps firing pot sized bets at us we may not be good and need to be able to lay our hand down.

Why are we at the table with all the short stackers? Unless the two people with 100bbs are major fish we need to be avoiding tables like this as much as possible.

This is basically a 2 to 1 call cause he only has $.23 behind. If you think you have more than 33% equity here then I think it's an easy call. I think you have at least that much equity. He could be doing this with anything just assuming you missed the flop and hoping you don't have an overpair. Of course I'm not super experienced so I could be thinking poorly here.
