I'm a new player so while I can't give you expert advice I can ask some questions/ share some thoughts. Hopefully someone more experienced than I am will tell us if my thought process is correct!

Situation is 4-bettor raised against two players who raised from early position. On the face of it, wise to get out of the way.

But... should we assume this kind of move only means AA or KK? Against those two hands, do we always fold AK? Only when it's AKo?

I actually just asked this question here a few minutes ago about how we read aggression of a totally unknown player at the micro limits. If you put your hand into PokerStove against a random hand, you have 65% equity. But random means ATC. If we look at a player who would 4-bet preflop with only 3-5% of hands, it's about a coin flip. If he's doing this only with AA or KK, he's going to win 82% of the time.

I'm curious if there's any logic in not folding? Seems like not because seems most likely that he's only going to 4-bet with a really tight range of cards.

I mean I asked the question, but the reason i folded is this. Im not calling oop to a 4bet, since then im basically putting my hand face up and also playing fit/fold. But a 4bet at this level is usually at least jj+, ak (or tighter)
which is a range for which im behind or flipping. so im out.

if anyone can explain what i tried to explain better i would appreciate it :)

No, if you have AK the chance of villain having AA or KK is low since you are holding an A and a K in your hand.

Against a JJ+/AK range it actually pretty close. You have about 40% equity and you need about 43.5% to break even. But if he starts folding say JJ and AK when you shove (that's 45% of his range) it's slightly +EV.

That said I think it's a pretty clear fold because I think his actual range is likely QQ+ because cold 4bets are generally the effective nuts.
