Even if hes a maniac can you really call those pot bets? Whatever the case if you are going to call the flop and turn bets you should be prepared to do the same on the river.

I close my eyes and call. Like kingme said, you cant call flop/turn bets and then fold river, especially when the flush draw bricks off.

Raise him on the flop. I've seen this in multiple hand histories you have posted. When you raise pre-flop and they bet into you I always raise back. The only way I just call is if I really think I have him beat and he will keep betting into me. When there is an overcard on the board like that its too costly to just call all 3 streets.

Also - He doesn't really seem like a maniac....his AF is only 1.67. Mine is close to 3...does that make me a super-duper-maniac?

Mine is 2.69, and in some sessions it can be almost 4. But look at his VPIP, and much more importantly I had seen him go all in with air / very marginal hands multiple times, at least 3 on that table. I'll trust the play I see going on right now much more than software stats and so should everyone I think.

Point taken about the flop play though, it is pretty weak with dangerous boards. As it was I called of course and he did have the Q, of course. QJ blocking my JJ. Do you also raise with strong draws though, knowing the other guy is an agressive player and my shove/4-bet you killing your odds?

What pissed me off more than anything about this hand was I had the strong feeling he had the Q, but ignored it because of his previous maniacal play...
