I am in pos vs a reg. about him: 57 hands, 25/19.

played 1 hand earlier, he raised SB, I called with suited connectors, he double barreled TPGK, checked river, I bet my trips and he calls.

Is this an easy shove assuming he doesn't have TP since I know how he plays his TP.

888 Poker - $0.20 NL - Holdem - 3 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

BTN: $21.43
SB: $20.00
Hero (BB): $25.96

SB posts SB $0.10, Hero posts BB $0.20

Pre Flop: ($0.30) Hero has J:heart: 9:heart:

fold, SB raises to $0.60, Hero calls $0.40

Flop: ($1.20, 2 players) 3:club: 5:heart: K:heart:
SB bets $0.80, Hero calls $0.80

Turn: ($2.80, 2 players) T:diamond:
SB bets $2.00, Hero calls $2.00

River: ($6.80, 2 players) 8:heart:
SB bets $4.00, Hero ??

I know the spot looks pretty standard, I just want to make sure everyone agrees we should shove here. Or any other input you have on the hand, let me have it.

Yes shove. Lots of 2pair/set combos and few better flushes. Any thought to raising flop?

I new he would double barrel a top pair type of hand, or a batter one. I thought I might go for a bet in turn if he checks.

I might raise the turn. His range is still really wide, and we may not get many calls when we jam our completed draws.

Raising the flop would be okay too, but we'd have to fold to a shove. On the turn with more outs, I think we're committed. Plus its scarier!

Think raising the turn is tempting bit he looks pretty damn strong there and in general, raising the turn is pretty bad.

why? regs just double barrel whatever when its bvb?

I think raising the flop would be pretty sexy tho

Raising the turn is probably best, it will scare any hand that isn't a set or KT and either get folds or calls most of the time. I would probably make a nonshoving raise on the river, to 10 or 12 and maybe maybe fold to a shove (it would probably be a good fold if he shoved to a river raise but its hard to make that good fold in the moment). If you call the turn only you will have to bluff a lot of rivers which I am not a huge fan of since a flush draw is so obvious here. If you aren't going to raise the river then you should consider folding the turn.

I call. Shove against idiots here only. Reg folds sets here. I think, even lower flushes. Maybe min raise only. Then its hard to fold even two pair?
