Pretty sure if I had lost this hand I would have been called out on my ridiculous turn bet. But this is the thing at the level I play I see this time and time again with uber fish that TPTK/TPGK has so much value even on dangerous boards that you just can't do anything when you are beat for 100 BB.

However this was a completely unknown player although strong chance of being a fish having open limped but no indication of being this bad. Generally against unknown opponents at this level I play TPTK very aggressively although given the board on the turn I might have slowed down had I not been steaming.

So going forward against this sort of an opponent this IS correct play right? Maybe I caught him in a really bad mood/tilt I don't know but if that is the case then I would eventually know and adjust back.

Question about your raise on the flop - are you folding to a re-raise?

Also consider your bet-sizing on the turn. You said you were steaming, but try not to steam... That 8 was, as you noticed, not a good card for you. JT is a good part of his range here, as is 98 and 76, and a couple of other hands that were improved by that card. And you make an overbet that commits you to call if he shoves.

Other than that: Don't include results in hands you post here. They serve no purpose if you're trying to learn more - you won't get to know what hand he has next time you play a hand like this.

Given I was steaming I might have just gone all in. Although I don't really know what I would do if I went into the tank its always a 50/50 decision against unknown potentially fishy players.
