you were the one at the table, what did dynamics dictate?

i probly just fold bc its very expensive getting shown the nuts most of the time here, but if you have some lucid read that he can do this with like 2 pair or a busted FD, i guess you can call. this is really one of those hands that isn't worth posting (no offense) because you most likely have all the tools to decide whether you should call or fold, and there's nothing to really analyze, especially how little information we have about the villain, game flow, timing tells, bet-sizing tells, etc.

hope i dont sound like a mean guy

lol it's pretty funny. You have the information I had during the hand. You don't know what the best line is, I don't know either that's why I posted it. But that doesn't make the hand not worth posting imo....since any given situation will come up again in poker.

I would just check back river...

I was sure he would call with 2 pairs, or any ace even. You know they don't fold, so I was betting for value and should probably bet even bigger.

If you think he calls with those hands betting is fine (MAYBE) but calling the raise isn't. He has a King too often here to make calling correct imo.

The reason I said betting was fine (MAYBE) is because if you think he raises some hands that you beat (say all 2 pair hands and a couple of missed FDs) and you plan to fold to a raise, checking behind for SD likely has a higher expectation.

That's what I was asking, does he ever raise anything but a K there?

I only need to be good like 20% of the time to make the call correct, so that ever is a pretty big important word. Should I count on some 2 pairs he thinks is nuts, or random spazz 1 out of 5 times or not in these situations in your opinion?

It's true I didn't anticipate the raise and was caught off guard, that was my fault in not planning properly. It's probably gray area, middle ground that can't truly be known etc. The biggest lesson from here is don't do something if you don't know how to handle a play / reaction, or if you're unsure it's even profitable. It's safer.

I folded btw, not that it matters.
