What about this. Villain is 25/12 with 5% 3bet over 100 hands.

I didn't 3bet here because:
1) I have a low 3bet stat atm. When I 3bet it's respected in general, so sometimes I flat my premiums.
2) He is UTG so if I 3bet it looks very strong.
3) Someone might try to squeeze.

After that, none of the flop or turn cards scared me so I called until river before putting in my raise.

Very non-standard way to play KK I know - is it completely horrible?

25/12 means he calls too much. Unless he has a REALLY high ft3b I always 3bet pre vs him. AS played raise flop is cool because he likely is never folding a pp and may call with other stuff since we rep nothing
