Pre Flop: (pot: €0.30) ComplexP has J:spade: 9:spade:

fold, fold, Olga1989 raises to €0.70, ComplexP calls €0.70, fold, eagles69 calls €0.50

eagles69 checks, Olga1989 checks, ComplexP bets €2.00, eagles69 calls €2.00, fold

Turn: (€6.20, 2 players) A:spade:
eagles69 checks, ComplexP bets €5.00, eagles69 raises to €17.30, fold

eagles69 wins €15.40

I think it was the right thing, because not alot of bluffs should be in his range there (or if they are, it was my first pot with him) but want a 2nd, third etc. opinion...

PF is definitely debatable. If you had tons of hands and a great read that someone, maybe eagles, is so bad that you want to flat a hand like this to induce a call behind in order to try to hit something postflop and extract, then maybe calliing is ok. With the opener on only 25bbs though it makes it a pretty clear fold.

As played pf it looks ok, I think turn could be smaller since we`re already setting up for stacks on the river. Otherwise looks fine, unlucky you ran into a set/turned 2pair/aggro draw.

I don't like the idea of flatting preflop against shortstacker's raise and no reads on table.

Assuming you have 3 eights to make the best hand, and 9 spades to make the best hand, giving you a total of 12 unclean outs against villain, and the pot was at 27.7 and you had another 12.3 to call, we're looking at a little better than 2:1 to complete. With only 25% to make a hand that may not even be the nuts, a fold is correct.

I'm folding here preflop, original raiser's stack has nothing I want.

Pf- Folding to a short stack raise i think is best
Flop- Flop bet i think could be smaller.
Turn- I like a check behind because if you hit your hand, it is pretty disguised and i expect a set/ turned 2pair to bet for value on the river. Which u can then shove for value and expect to get called alot because of how disguised your hand is. Given that the Ace is a good barrel card in general but you have quite a big draw which u dont wanna get raised off of which happened in this case..
Just my 2cents.
