$20 NL HE 6-max: JJ Preflop action

I have less than 10 hands on the squeezer, so no reads. BB is 30/5/2.6 over about 90 hands.

HAND #1

party poker, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
Hand History Converter by Stoxpoker
Hero (UTG): $44.50 (178 bb)
MP: $25 (100 bb)
CO: $30.35 (121.4 bb)
BTN: $25 (100 bb)
SB: $27.60 (110.4 bb)
BB: $13 (52 bb)
Pre-Flop: Hero is UTG with J:heart: J:diamond:
Hero raises to $1, MP folds, CO calls $1, BTN raises to $4, SB folds, BB calls $3.75, Hero ?

Meh.

If everybody was full stacked, that's probably a call at least for set mining odds.

With BB only $13 deep, calling sucks because it's somewhat likely BB shoves any flop and we kind of have to call unless it comes AKQ, but we still have no clue what BTN has and we could get pot committed with a very marginal hand.

So I probably fold here. Maybe not a huge EV difference, but much lower variance. Also, it's quite likely we get to see a showdown between BTN and BB, so we'll get valuable info even when we fold.

4-Bet shoving looks pretty good here, imo. You're gonna have like ~35% equity when called by the button and a ton vs. the BB. Btn doesn't have to fold that often to make it a good play since BB is like always calling and you have him crushed.

New to the table with no reads, I'd fold pre and hope to see the showdown and make notes about button's squeezing range.

Very tough to say because you have no read really on anyone at the table. Id probably fold this and wait for a better spot. Might be the right time and place but equity just isnt right.

I 4bet shove here every time.
If BTN is good he is doing this with a wide range if he is bad, well then he is bad and his range is either AA/KK/QQ or ATC.
Then there is the fact there is plenty of dead money in the pot and u only need a fold from the button a small % of times to make this profitable.
You might also gain some metagame if u showdown JJ here, your 4bets might not get as much respect(witch is good think since at 25nl a vast majority of our 4bets are for value.)

Im sure shoving here is the highest varience play but i still like it better then folding.

This is not the right play at all. We're out of position against the original raiser and we're pretty much screwed if any overcard falls on the flop since we're not sure how to play it against two opponents. Our goal is to take down the dead money in the pot, or fold out the button and see a showdown with the big blind.
