iPoker - £0.20 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

MP: 99.4 BB (VPIP: 41.79, PFR: 26.87, 3Bet Preflop: 7.14, hands: 69)
CO: 107 BB (VPIP: 41.16, PFR: 7.78, 3Bet Preflop: 2.90, Hands: 2,677)
BTN: 106.9 BB (VPIP: 21.03, PFR: 16.50, 3Bet Preflop: 6.66, Hands: 1,651)

UTG: 101.5 BB (VPIP: 18.64, PFR: 14.49, 3Bet Preflop: 6.14, Hands: 4,536)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A:spade: Q:diamond:

fold, fold, fold, fold, SB raises to 3 BB, Hero calls 2 BB

Flop: (6 BB, 2 players) T:spade: 6:heart: K:club:
SB checks, Hero bets 3 BB, SB calls 3 BB

Turn: (12 BB, 2 players) J:diamond:
SB checks, Hero bets 8.4 BB, SB calls 8.4 BB

River: (28.8 BB, 2 players) K:heart:
SB checks, Hero bets 20.15 BB, SB raises to 110.7 BB and is all-in, Hero

I really don't buy that he slow played a flopped set or 2 pair since he is a frequent SB stealer and would want to continue his story. So that really leaves us with JJ??? Can we really fold this given that a full house only makes sense for one hand?

This is a call all day long against this type of player as you say who tries to steal a lot. I am guessing this also an attempt to steal on the river.

At no point did villain show strength in the hand so we have to call with broadway here. No need to worry much about full house here, it would be a bit of a cooller if that is the case.:p

He steals only pre flop otherwise a very tight player. One of those tight players who just happens to steal from the SB a lot.

Given my bet sizing on the river there is almost no chance he is bluffing me.

He has to be bluffing, with the board the way it was on the turn, he has to have a full house to beat broadway! SB probably thought he could steal pre-flop, got caught, and didn't know how to react.

Even jj dont make sense but bb vs sb makes this a call cuz ppl tend to leave the poker textbook behind and lose a lot of money in blinds

Value raising though is like wanting to get called by a weaker holding.. when he check shoves i guess its a fold

JJ makes perfect sense to me but he could also do this with trip kings thinking he's shoving for value. There are a whole host of Kx hands he could have opened with here. If he had a K with a weak kicker he might just chose to check call you down and then he hits trips on the end and thinks he's good to go. In fact there are so many combos of Kx id probably call.

Another distinct possibility is that he also has AQ.

Don't understand why you didn't 3bet preflop for value either. The flip side being he won't be putting you on AQ so even more likely to think trips are good. Thinking JJ is his only hand here is too tight he has a massive range preflop here.

I have been 3 betting pretty much every time he steals from the SB so I thought I'll mix it up a little and just call here as I have a great hand.

The comments on here are a little... hmmm

I mean it's a pretty easy river fold. JJ,KJ, and some other badly played hands make sense. KT and 66 also because this is a BvB spot and people will slowplay more in these situations. AQ isn't CR shoving the river. Kx isn't either. I'm a little perplexed at what is confusing here.

I did call and yes he did have JJ. I guess I just wasn't good enough to fold this spot.
