The fold is fine, I kind of like betting the turn though. We can get value from lots of hands and if he raises we have a pretty easy fold. If he flats turn we can check/decide river. Probably folding most rivers that he bets because it would be a pretty crazy spot for him to bluff/have a bluff in if played that way.

I don't like fold (but I don't play NL20). When you don't bet on turn, villain may think you haven't spades and begins to represent flush himself. You don't bet on river, he is sure you have nothing or weak spade. Besides of any spade weaker than ace there was very many bluffs here.

Bet/fold turn.

Fold river. I would rather check fold than check call the turn.

Bet flop. Bet turn, fold if he raises. If he calls, decide on river what to do. He will probably not bet worse OTR. So if you bet/bet/check, and he bets, yeah, I don't like it.

EZ game.

Hello my dear friend! I do not like your fold! You had to make the call! But I will say Error! Once you give your opponent the initiative realized that you can bluff! And take your equity! In this example, you've just lost As! You have 2 nuts! Please read my article! EV! You do me the honor! I hope it will help you in the long run!

Why are you simply not betting the turn for value? It's a mistake to check here unless you intend to call down.
You have a very strong hand against an aggressive opponent so just bet it.
The key to finding out if you truly are beat with a strong but non nut hand is to bet strongly for value and if you are then raised you can comfortably fold.
Once you check the turn he's stabbing with his full range and once you just call the turn he knows you likely can't stand a river shove. This is pretty standard aggressive play, you have to call here fairly often if you open an aggressive players bluffing range.
