Utg is a reg, I have the sign of a rock on him, no other specific reads. plays straight forward. stats: 85 hands. 27/19/2

Utg + 1 unknown, 6 hands, 33/17 no reads.

888 Poker - $0.20 NL - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

Hero (BTN): $20.38
SB: $20.00
BB: $22.87
UTG: $20.64
MP: $22.52
CO: $10.02

SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.20

Pre Flop: ($0.30) Hero has J:diamond: J:club:

UTG raises to $0.60, MP calls $0.60, fold, Hero calls $0.60, fold, fold

Flop: ($2.10, 3 players) 3:spade: 3:diamond: J:heart:
UTG bets $1.20, fold, Hero raises to $3.20, UTG calls $2.00

Turn: ($8.50, 2 players) 3:club:
UTG checks, Hero bets $4.60, UTG calls $4.60

River: ($17.70, 2 players) 7:spade:
UTG checks, Hero bets $4.40

Now. should I have 3bet pre giving the fact that I have position. I was reluctant to do so because of the note of the utg, I rarely make the note of the rock and I usually put it on nits and I didn't want to get 4bet with JJ and have to fold, so I decided to see a flop and take it from there.

On flop, and turn and also river how do you play it, looking back at the hand I think I should have shoved the river, but at the time I was thinking I should make a smaller bet and maybe get called by AK, I now no longer believe AK even calls a raise on that flop, so the only option that is really viable is that he most likely has AA and KK and he is def calling in that spot, but if he has AA or KK I believe he stacks off on the flop. So what range are you putting him on here?

Do you think I should have shoved the river? Or maybe just call on the flop and let him barrel AK AA and KK or any other combo? Basically just give your thoughts on the hand.

Any suggestion is welcome. I will post more soon.

I know, but at the time I made the note his stats ware probably different, and I don't make that note unless he makes a very nitty move.

plus the sample size is small so you can't really tell what he is all about, in a few hundred hands all can change.

People whine about this so much, but 85 is plenty for preflop stats.

Ok, so do you have any advice on the questions I asked? I could use some opinions on how to play the hand really. I am curious if people raise that hand pre or if the just call on the flop. :p

I'm squeezing pre but as played its good. People rarely fold full houses.

Calling pre is fine, and raising the flop is okay I suppose. I'd probably flat it, but I don't hate raising. I just think you fold out too many of his overs & lower pairs by raising that we want to extract more value from. We're in position, so getting it all in shouldn't be hard.

Pre is fine. You could squeeze. Just shove the river.

I flat pre also. Been thinking about the flop for a while, i dont like slowplaying or anything but if ever there is a time to consider not raising the flop i could see it being here, there is just not much he can really have (that isn't going to continue anyways) if we raise. Its close for me, i probably do both depending on what mood im in :)

I think you could have raised bigger on the turn. Im not sure of the liklihood of you getting called by shoves on the river but the river bet is too small anyway. I think you should have bet at least 50% to 75% of the pot on the river. Villain will likely call down with any PP and you have the near nuts.

Also, I agree that 27/19 seems more LAG than rock. What is your definition of a rock?
