Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 53/29/3

Is this just a super standard spot? Villain is 56/29 with 4.4% 3-bet and 10% 4-bet over 300 hands. Has raised my BB from SB roughly 55% when unopened

P.S. 3-bet is small as I wanted to induce a 4-bet/ get him to call oop as his fold to 3-bet was 80%

i guess it depends whether his 4 bet (10%) was always a jam?

I think its a call rather than 3bet

He dosent 3 bet much so Id be surprised if he 4bets 2.5x more often than he 3bets. More likely its that his 4bet stat is unconverged (300 hands) in a game where 3bets are quite rare.

equity wise you are flipping with his 3bet range.

He also folds a lot to 3bets so again you would assume his 4bet range to be strong.

Personally I think his 4bet range is QQ+ AK and is say his jam range is QQ and AK

Why would you be in this situation?

He opens the SB a lot.

You hold JJ. You are also in position.

He folds to a lot of 3bets

Why would you ever 3bet?

That's a good point and flatting pre might be better but having 3-bet I'm not folding.

Stu is right. FlattIng jj against someone who folds well to 3bets is a better play

I agree with your whole post but where did you come to this conclusion?

Yes AA KK and air

this is BVB which changes the situation some

his range is wide and he's a 53/29 3bet for value all day, I would check his call 3bet and sample size of 4bet %

His f3b is getting there for accuracy but I rely MUCH more on his retarded vpip/pfr than that over only a few hundred hands.

BvB I 3bet JJ %100 here. I also don't get why you'd ever raise small against a guy like this. Make it $2.20 or something.

Ok, I think the 3bet needs to be bigger, but imo it's a 3 bet for value. I think the only point that I was unsure of was whether to call the shove or not. Surely this villain has some sort of spazz factor for him to jam 100bbs over 8 bb's so is wider than QQ+,AK for sure
