Check and hope A high holds up. If you bluff, you're repping like 44 and thats it. You're gonna get looked up by almost any pair.

Yeah don't bluff fish. Also no reason to bet so much on flop.

Thanks. It was a failed bluff, I guess maybe the cbet/check/pot bet line doesn't work too much at 20NL

It doesn't work well anywhere. It's extremely transparent and you don't rep anything. Seriously think of a hand you take that line for value with, especially the river pot sized bet. I can't think of a single one. Maybe once in awhile you check turn with a set or something? But it's hard to make sets and when all you can rep is a set and you don't even usually play sets that way you're just gonna get looked up super-wide.

If I get the feeling he's floating me I'll fire a second barrel on the turn. I'm mostly just gonna play it safe and check here. 43/4 means the guy's a fish, I just like to bet them for value. I know it's really weak to bet/check/check and everyone hates doing it but I try to find a better spot.

I am bluffing too much in these situations I guess, I'll try not to do it that much on dry boards after getting called.

The interesting thing about stats though is - well alot of people with high vpip's are very loose pre-flop and then play fit or fold. And alot of nit/nitty ones are real calling stations once they enter the pot.

So it's tough to judge that just by vpip in my opinion...

That's why you have to pay more attention to the player and not just his stats. Its the reason playing fewer tables is so much more better for your winrate (not for $/hr though). In this hand, whether villain is a calling station or fit/fold, a river bluff is bad because fit/fold obviously has a hand and calling station isnt folding anything either so the bluffs rarely ever going to work.
