You don't have very many nut-making combinations. Only 52 and the suited ace can make the nuts (A5 makes non-nut straights to 56, 22 makes a non-nut set/full house).
Also, you don't hit that many flops. A hand like JT98 can hit at least a gutshot on any board from AKX down to 56X. As2s25 really only hits 34X, 2XX flops, A5X, and XsXsX flops. And the 2XX/A5X boards are reverse implied odds
spots because you'll have top & bottom pair (instead of top two) or bottom set.
From the blinds (or anytime you're playing OOP), you want to hit a ton of flops and hit them really hard, so you can continue against their c-bets, and play profitably with the smaller implied odds that you have. Course, this holds true for any game (NLHE, 2-7 triple draw, ect.). Being OOP just forces you to make a hand more often.
