Whats your next move here? I had him pinned on QQ or KK. Discounted AA with the A on the flop, and was willing to lose my stack if I was wrong. But whats your next move to maximize the profit here, assuming my read was right? Do you have a different read on villains hand? (I know, hard to get a read without stats - sorry)

Assuming you are RyanUNC (I went to UNC), I'd probably 4-bet preflop here. AKo misses the flop more often than not, and it's hard to get TT-KK to pay you when you flop top pair.

You should also consider donk-leading this flop, preferably for a smallish (40%-50% pot) bet looking to get raised.

As played without reads, I'd call the flop and then lead the turn. Your opponent is usually done bluffing at this point so go ahead and try to get max value from worse aces and pocket pairs.

Apologies, yes I am RyanUNC12. Go heels!

I considered 4-betting pre-flop, but was concerned that I might be dominated and wanted to see a flop before committing anything else. But your point is well taken.

I also considered leading out, but wanted to induce a continuation bet. I figured leading out with the A on the board would get a fold more often than not, but I could be wrong.

Thanks for the input! I am interested in hearing some more thoughts before I revealed how I actually played this hand :)

His play isn't super likely to be bluffing. We have no stats, you're raising from early position. Most regs are pretty bad at dealing with donk bets too.

The way we played this i am just check folding to this c-bet on the flop. I mean we are not losing much and we do not need to continue with air any further.:)

I would have assumed the player for an A something, I probably would have folded. I usually have junk anyways. But if you are the one holding AK and with that flop I probably would have 3bet.

But hey that just me right or wrong.
