Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Jc Js
fold, fold, MP raises to 3 BB, Hero ???

At the microstakes, against an aggressive opponent, is it generally best to just flat hands like 1010, JJ and AQ preflop or is it best to fight back with aggression with these holdings? Obviously always 3betting and getting it in with AA and KK. But with JJ should I just flat and sometimes allow the SLP opponent in the big blind to come along? Or is it best to 3bet? What to do if I get 4bet?

What would you say is the standard in this spot, 3bet or flat call? Thanks in advance :)

For me JJ is a 3bet from CO vs most MP opens. I'd probably be looking at his fold to 3bet stat but I guess you haven't really got enough hands on him. Villan seems to be kinda LAG, so if we expect he's gonna bet/raise alot I might call in LP then try build a big pot on favourable flops. Also allows fish to limp behind and we expect him to call with many hands we'll be ahead of And we're IP. Deffo an argument for raising because you're a lil deeper stacked. Overall I think it's pretty close could argue either case.

*missed this bit out *
If we do get 4bet. I'm probably folding a lot of the time. It's gonna be for a decent portion of the attack. Even for an aggro player at NL2. We are really not beating much of his range rn. We're gonna have to be cautious on the flop, he's gonna cbet and we're gonna fold a lot so save money now. If he's making a 4bet bluff then good for him 😂

I think I would just call here, but I think 3bet isn't wrong either. It depends on the read of your opponent. Don't be too much in love with JJ though, if the flop shows any A,K or Q you should be ready to fold. But in late position you're going to have a big advantage and be able to get a read on your opponent.

I always 3-bet these guys who like to mix it up with lighter holdings (3-bet 2/7 times, laggy preflop stats). Let them make their favorite mistake.

sample size is too small.

but against aggressive lags or people a bit wider we can 3bet for value pre.

if he does 4bet we need more info or something that gives us a decent excuse to flat his 4bet. If hes foing it with AK AQ pairs to 88 then we could justify a 4bet here.

Also is opponent tilting.
